Welcome to our Beautiful Mess

More than fifteen years ago, long before we ever thought about buying a home, I doodled out my dream farm. It had a long driveway, a little farmhouse, cows and horses in the backyard, and a huge garden. At the bottom, I wrote, “Someday . . .” Unbeknownst to me, my husband saved that sketch and only recently found it when going through old papers. Beautiful Mess Farm has always been my dream, I just didn’t know exactly what it would look like.

I love to share this place and our flowers with others. I love watching peoples’ eyes as they see the bouquet I made for them or a loved one, and I love hearing the stories that go with it. I love listening to folks talk about their memories associated with flowers, and chat about their love for gardening, design, or just flowers in general. I love to watch visitors pet the velvety muzzles of our horses, interact with our sweet goats, and laugh at our hilarious chickens who have a better recall than our dogs.
